Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu (1,360m)
Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, where a Best Trips Nepal representative will greet you and transfer you to a Thamel hotel. Receive a brief tour overview, check in, and rest or explore the vibrant city. Overnight at a hotel.

Day 02: Fly to Phaplu (2,413m) and Trek to Chayalsa (2,800m, 3-4 hours)
Take a scenic 35-minute flight from Kathmandu to Phaplu in the Solu region. Begin trekking into the Himalayan foothills, passing terraced hills and Sherpa communities. Visit Salleri’s local market and Chilsa Monastery, enjoying vivid Himalayan views. Arrive at Chayalsa after a 3-4 hour trek. Overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 03: Trek to Kerung (3,100m, 5-6 hours)
Trek from Chayalsa to Kerung, immersing in Tamang, Sherpa, and Magar cultures. Enjoy striking views of higher peaks and lush landscapes. Explore monasteries and Buddhist stupas in Kerung, and savor local cultural dining. Trek 5-6 hours. Overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 04: Trek to Jhapre (2,820m, 6 hours)
Trek 6 hours from Kerung to Jhapre, crossing the Solu-Okhaldhunga border. Marvel at wild orchids, stunning landscapes, and Himalayan vistas. Visit monasteries and stupas in Jhapre, and enjoy a cultural performance by local communities. Overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 05: Trek to Pikey Base Camp (3,640m, 5-6 hours)
Ascend to Pikey Base Camp, the trek’s highest camping point, surrounded by Himalayan flora and fauna. Explore centuries-old monasteries, mani stones, and Buddhist stupas. This area, ideal for marathons and mountain biking, offers serene high-altitude scenery. Trek 5-6 hours. Overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 06: Climb to Pikey Peak (4,065m) and Trek to Jase Bhanjyang (3,550m, 6-7 hours)
Start early to climb Pikey Peak for a spectacular sunrise over the Himalayas, from Kanchenjunga to Dhaulagiri, including Everest. Descend through picturesque landscapes, spotting yaks grazing and tasting fresh yak milk. Arrive at Jase Bhanjyang, a scenic saddle. Trek 6-7 hours. Overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 07: Trek to Junbesi (2,675m, 5-6 hours)
Trek from Jase Bhanjyang to Junbesi, passing through distinctive landscapes of the Junbesi Valley. Optionally revisit Pikey Peak for additional views if desired. The trail offers cultural insights into Sherpa life. Trek 5-6 hours. Overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 08: Trek to Phaplu (2,413m, 6 hours)
Visit Thupten Choling Monastery in Junbesi, observing traditional Tibetan medicinal therapy. Trek 6 hours to Phaplu, enjoying local cuisine and participating in a Sherpa cultural program at teahouses. Overnight at a teahouse.

Day 09: Fly to Kathmandu (1,360m)
Board a 35-minute scenic flight from Phaplu to Kathmandu, weather permitting. Transfer to a Thamel hotel and spend the day at leisure, relaxing or exploring Thamel’s vibrant markets. Overnight at a hotel.

Day 10: Departure from Kathmandu
After breakfast, a Best Trips Nepal representative will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure, carrying unforgettable memories of the Pikey Peak Trek.
