Land at Kathmandu International Airport, where a Best Trips Nepal representative greets you with a trek briefing. Transfer to a Thamel hotel to relax and prepare for the journey. Overnight at a hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley (1,360m)
After breakfast, embark on a guided sightseeing tour of UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple) with panoramic Kathmandu Valley views, Boudhanath Stupa (the second-largest in the world), and Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred Hindu site. Complete trek permits and briefing in the afternoon. Overnight at a hotel.
Day 03: Drive to Chautara and Trek to Syaule Bazaar (5 hours drive, 2 hours trek)
Drive 5 hours from Kathmandu to Chautara along the Araniko Highway, passing scenic landscapes. Trek 2 hours to Syaule Bazaar, a traditional village, and set up a tented camp. Overnight at a tented camp.
Day 04: Trek to Orkheni (2,300m, 5-6 hours)
Trek 5-6 hours from Syaule Bazaar to Orkheni, ascending steadily to Orkheni Danda at 2,300m through gentle trails. Enjoy the serene surroundings and set up a tented camp. Overnight at a tented camp.
Day 05: Trek to Kamikharka (2,800m, 5-6 hours)
Trek 5-6 hours from Orkheni to Kamikharka, climbing steeply through forested regions to Kamikharka Danda ridge, about 1 hour beyond Orkheni Danda. Ascend abruptly through woods used by woodcutters to a grassy campsite surrounded by forest. Overnight at a tented camp.
Day 06: Trek to Choche Danda (3,160m, 5-6 hours)
Trek 5-6 hours from Kamikharka to Choche Danda, following an admirable trail through oak and rhododendron woods with outstanding views. Ascend to a large Chorten at 3,160m, cross pastures, and traverse the western slopes of Chyochyo Danda. Overnight at a tented camp.
Day 07: Trek to Mesher Pokhari (3,500m, 5-6 hours)
Trek 5-6 hours from Choche Danda to Mesher Pokhari, ascending steadily through rocky and grassy fields. The trail follows ridgelines with panoramic Himalayan views, reaching a serene campsite near Mesher Pokhari at 3,500m, a high-altitude meadow. Overnight at a tented camp.
Day 08: Trek to Hile via Chang Samrphu Pass (3,800m, 6-7 hours)
Trek 6-7 hours from Mesher Pokhari to Hile, climbing across rocky, grassy fields to a ridge at 3,750m. Descend through forests, crossing a ravine with water to reach Chang Samrphu Pass (3,913m). Make a steep final descent to Hile Bhanjyang, a campsite with water at 3,800m. Overnight at a tented camp.
Day 09: Trek to Nosam Pati (3,810m, 5-6 hours)
Trek 5-6 hours from Hile to Nosam Pati, climbing steeply to a small hill at 3,980m. Cross open ground via a flagstone track to another crest with amazing vistas in clear weather. Reach a stone house above Nosam Pati at 3,810m, with firm trails leading east and west along the ridge. Overnight at a tented camp.
Day 10: Trek to Panch Pokhari (4,200m, 4 hours)
Trek 4 hours from Nosam Pati to Panch Pokhari (4,200m), following a precise trail to the five holy lakes, a sacred Hindu site. Explore the Lord Shiva shrine with a sheet metal roof, two metal-roofed houses, and iron tridents, revered during June-July full moons. Overnight at a tented camp.
Day 11: Excursion Around Panch Pokhari and Return to Nosam Pati (3,810m, 4-5 hours)
Spend the morning exploring Panch Pokhari’s sacred lakes and stunning Himalayan views, capturing the trek’s spiritual essence. Trek 4-5 hours back to Nosam Pati, descending to the familiar stone house campsite. Overnight at a tented camp.
Day 12: Trek to Myu Gaon (2,800m, 5-6 hours)
Trek 5-6 hours from Nosam Pati to Myu Gaon, descending through forested trails and open ridges. Pass traditional settlements, enjoying views of the surrounding hills and valleys, reaching Myu Gaon at 2,800m. Overnight at a tented camp.
Day 13: Trek to Kot Gaon (2,200m, 5-6 hours)
Trek 5-6 hours from Myu Gaon to Kot Gaon, continuing the descent through mixed forests and village trails. Reach Kot Gaon at 2,200m, a quaint village with local cultural charm. Overnight at a tented camp.
Day 14: Trek to Ratmate (1,500m, 5-6 hours)
Trek 5-6 hours from Kot Gaon to Ratmate, descending steadily through agricultural fields and small settlements. Arrive at Ratmate at 1,500m, a lowland village marking the trek’s final camping stage. Overnight at a tented camp.
Day 15: Trek to Melamchi Pul (870m, 3 hours)
Trek 3 hours from Ratmate to Melamchi Pul Bazaar (846m), descending to the bustling market town. Transition from tented camps to a guesthouse, enjoying the lively atmosphere. Overnight at a guesthouse.
Day 16: Drive to Kathmandu (1,360m, 5 hours)
Drive 5 hours by bus from Melamchi Pul to Kathmandu, retracing the scenic route through hills and villages. Check into a Thamel hotel and relax. Overnight at a hotel.
