Land at Kathmandu International Airport, where a Best Trips Nepal representative greets you and provides a trek briefing. Transfer to a Thamel hotel to relax and prepare for the journey. Overnight at a hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing Around Kathmandu Valley (1,360m)
After breakfast, embark on a guided sightseeing tour of UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple) with views of Kathmandu Valley, Boudhanath Stupa (the second-largest in the world), and Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred Hindu site. Return to Thamel for a trek briefing. Overnight at a hotel.
Day 03: Drive to Dhunche (2,030m, 8 hours)
Drive 8 hours from Kathmandu to Dhunche, passing thick forests, deep gorges, and scenic landscapes. Check into a guesthouse in Dhunche, the gateway to the Langtang region. Overnight at a guesthouse.
Day 04: Trek to Sing Gompa (Chandanbari, 3,250m, 5 hours)
Trek 5 hours from Dhunche to Sing Gompa, climbing through oak and pine forests to Foprang Danda (3,190m). Pass a government agriculture office to reach Sing Gompa, a key attraction of Chandanbari with a serene monastery. Overnight at a guesthouse.
Day 05: Trek to Gosainkunda (4,380m, 6.5 hours)
Trek 6.5 hours from Sing Gompa to Gosainkunda, ascending steadily to Chalang Pati (3,650m). Enjoy views of Langtang Lirung and forests of pines and rhododendrons. Climb past Laurebina Yak to a small temple with a Sakyamuni statue, spotting Saraswati Kunda and Bhairab Kunda en route to the sacred Gosainkunda Lake. Overnight at a guesthouse.
Day 06: Trek to Ghopte via Lauri Bina La Pass (3,430m, 7.5 hours)
Trek 7.5 hours from Gosainkunda to Ghopte, skirting the northern edge of Gosainkunda Lake and crossing a moraine to reach Lauri Bina La Pass (4,610m). Descend past three small lakes to Bhera Goth (4,240m) and Phedi (3,740m), navigating bamboo and scrub to Dupichaur (3,630m) before arriving at Ghopte. Overnight at a guesthouse.
Day 07: Trek to Tharepati (3,510m, 2.5 hours)
Trek 2.5 hours from Ghopte to Tharepati, crossing ascending and descending paths over moraines. Make a final climb to Tharepati, enjoying fine Himalayan views along the trail. Overnight at a guesthouse.
Day 08: Trek to Kutumsang (2,470m, 4.5 hours)
Trek 4.5 hours from Tharepati to Kutumsang, passing through rhododendron and fir forests to Magen Goth (3,420m) and Panghu. Descend to Kutumsang (2,450m), with stunning views of Himalayan peaks. Overnight at a guesthouse.
Day 09: Trek to Chisapani (2,170m, 6 hours)
Trek 6 hours from Kutumsang to Chisapani, descending to the attractive village of Gul Bhanjyang. Climb through wooded ridges to Thodang Betini (2,260m) and Chipling (2,170m), then drop to Pati Bhanjyang (1,860m), a Brahman and Chhetri village. Arrive at Chisapani for majestic Himalayan views and a beautiful sunrise. Overnight at a guesthouse.
Day 10: Trek to Sundarijal (1,460m, 3.5 hours) and Drive to Kathmandu (1 hour)
Trek 3.5 hours from Chisapani to Sundarijal, passing through oak and rhododendron forests to Borlang Bhanjyang (2,440m). Pass an Army check post for Shivapuri permit verification, descend to Mulkharka (1,800m) with Kathmandu Valley views, and reach Sundarijal. Drive 1 hour back to Kathmandu and check into a Thamel hotel. Overnight at a hotel.
Day 11: Leisure Day in Kathmandu (1,360m)
Enjoy a free day in Kathmandu for shopping in Thamel, visiting missed sites like Bhaktapur Durbar Square, or relaxing at a café. Reflect on the Gosainkunda adventure. Overnight at a hotel.
Day 12: Transfer to Airport, Departure
After breakfast, transfer to Kathmandu International Airport for your departure, carrying cherished memories of the Gosainkunda Trek’s spiritual and scenic wonders.
