Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu Airport (1,360m)
Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, where a Best Trips Nepal representative will greet you with a unique display board featuring your name. Transfer to a hotel in Thamel, relax by the pool, or explore the medieval city’s vibrant streets. Enjoy an informal trek briefing and an early supper to prepare for the journey ahead. Day 02: Fly to Lukla (2,800m) and Trek to Phakding (2,651m, 3-4 hours, 8km)
Depart the hotel at 2-3 AM for a 3-4 hour drive to Manthali (Ramechhap) airport. Board a scenic 35-minute flight to Lukla’s mountain airstrip, surrounded by towering peaks. Meet the crew, sort equipment, and begin trekking north along the Dudh Koshi River, descending through lush forests to Phakding. Overnight at a teahouse lodge (sleeping altitude: 2,651m).

Day 03: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,438m, 5-6 hours, 11km)
After breakfast, trek north along the Dudh Koshi through pine forests, crossing airy suspension bridges at Benkar, Monjo, and Jorsale. Midway up the steep climb to Namche, catch your first glimpse of Everest behind the Nuptse-Lhotse ridge, weather permitting. Arrive at Namche Bazaar, the bustling Sherpa capital with markets, cafes, and shops. Overnight at a teahouse lodge (sleeping altitude: 3,438m).

Day 04: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar (3,438m)
Spend a day acclimatizing with short hikes. Options include trekking to Khumjung to visit its school and monastery (with a reputed Yeti skull) or to Syangboche (3,720m) for views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and Lhotse from the Everest View Hotel. Explore Namche’s Sherpa Museum and vibrant streets. Overnight at a teahouse lodge (sleeping altitude: 3,438m).

Day 05: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m, 5-6 hours, 10km)
Descend to Phunki Tenga (3,250m) after breakfast, crossing the Dudh Koshi, then climb steeply through rhododendron forests to Tengboche. Visit the iconic Tengboche Monastery at noon and enjoy sunset views of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Look for Himalayan tahr in the forest. Day 06: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,350m, 5-6 hours, 9km)

Pass Pangboche’s ancient monastery and continue along the Imja Valley, ascending to Dingboche, a village with stone-walled fields of barley and buckwheat. Day 07: Acclimatization Day in Dingboche (4,350m)
Rest in Dingboche to acclimatize, with day hikes to Nagarjun Hill or Chukhung Valley for views of Makalu, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Energetic trekkers can climb Nangkartshang Peak (5,100m, 3.5 hours round trip) for panoramic vistas. Explore the village’s scenic fields. Overnight at a teahouse lodge (sleeping altitude: 4,350m).

Day 08: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4,940m, 5-6 hours, 7km)
Climb steeply past a chorten, ascending gradually to Dughla at the Khumbu Glacier’s moraine. After a tea break, hike to Chupki Lhara, a memorial site for fallen climbers, with views of Nepal-Tibet border peaks. Continue to Lobuche, a small hamlet with teahouses. Day 09: Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,170m) and Everest Base Camp (5,364m, 6-7 hours, 13km)
Start early for a challenging day, trekking 2-3 hours along the Khumbu Glacier’s moraine to Gorak Shep. After a break and snacks, continue 3-4 hours round trip to Everest Base Camp, winding through ice seracs. Marvel at the Khumbu Icefall, Nuptse, and Pumori, and capture photos by the Base Camp rock. Return to Gorak Shep. Overnight at a teahouse lodge (sleeping altitude: 5,170m).

Day 10: Trek to Kala Patthar (5,545m) and Pangboche (3,985m, 8-9 hours)
Depart at dawn in cold temperatures (-10 to -14°C) for a 2-3 hour round-trip hike to Kala Patthar, enjoying 360-degree views of Everest, Nuptse, Lingtren, and Khumbutse. Descend to Gorak Shep, then trek 6-7 hours to Pangboche via Pheriche, passing its ancient monastery, home to Everest’s ice doctors. Overnight at a teahouse lodge (sleeping altitude: 3,985m).

Day 11: Trek from Pangboche to Namche Bazaar (3,440m, 6-7 hours, 20km)
Trek down through rhododendron and juniper ridges, crossing a prayer-flag-covered bridge over the Dudh Koshi. Descend rapidly through pine forests, spotting pheasants or mountain goats, to Sanasa, with views of Ama Dablam and Thamserku. Continue to Namche Bazaar. Overnight at a teahouse lodge (sleeping altitude: 3,440m).

Day 12: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,860m, 6-7 hours, 19km)
Descend sharply on rocky terrain, crossing suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi. The trail eases after Phakding, leading to Lukla. Celebrate the trek’s completion with a special evening, reflecting on two weeks of Himalayan adventure. Overnight at a teahouse lodge (sleeping altitude: 2,860m).

Day 13: Fly to Kathmandu (1,360m)
Board an early morning 35-minute flight from Lukla to Kathmandu, weather permitting, with aerial Himalayan views. Transfer to a Thamel hotel and spend the day relaxing, shopping for souvenirs, or sightseeing with guide assistance. Enjoy a farewell dinner with cultural dances to celebrate the trek’s success. Overnight at a hotel.

Day 14: Departure from Kathmandu
After breakfast, a Best Trips Nepal representative will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure, concluding an epic Himalayan journey with lifetime memories of the Everest region.
