Day 01: Meeting upon Arrival at Kathmandu International Airport (1,350m)
Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, where a Best Trips Nepal representative will welcome you with a display board and transfer you to your hotel in Thamel. Enjoy a traditional Nepalese dinner with a cultural program. Overnight at a hotel.

Day 02: Stay in Kathmandu for Sightseeing and Official Procedure (1,350m)
After breakfast, visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Attend a trek briefing and finalize permits in the afternoon. Overnight at a hotel.

Day 03: Depart to Pokhara (920m, 6 hours by bus or 30 minutes by flight)
Drive 6 hours from Kathmandu to Pokhara, enjoying river and mountain scenery, or take a 30-minute flight. Transfer to your hotel and relax by Lakeside or go boating on Fewa Lake. Overnight at a hotel.

Day 04: Drive to Nayapul (1,070m, 1.5 hours) and Trek to Tikhedhunga (1,400m, 3-4 hours)
Drive 1.5 hours to Nayapul and begin trekking through rice, maize, and millet farms. Pass Birethanti’s waterfalls, Sudami, and Hile, reaching Tikhedhunga after 3-4 hours. Optionally climb 3,600 stone steps to Ulleri. Overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani (2,856m, 5 hours)
Trek 5 hours from Ulleri to Ghorepani through oak and rhododendron forests, passing Banthanti (2,250m) and Nangethanti (2,460m). Enjoy views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre. Overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 06: Climb Poonhill (3,210m, 1 hour) and Trek to Tatopani (1,100m, 6 hours)
Hike 1 hour early morning to Poonhill for sunrise views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Nilgiri. Descend and trek 6 hours to Tatopani via Chitre and Sikha, ending the rhododendron region. Relax in hot springs. Overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 07: Drive to Kagbeni (2,800m, 3.5 hours)
Drive 3.5 hours to Kagbeni along the Kali Gandaki Gorge, the world’s deepest. Explore Kagbeni’s ancient houses, monasteries, and temples. Overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 08: Trek to Chele (3,050m, 5-6 hours)
Trek 5-6 hours along the Kali Gandaki River, crossing Chunksang and Tangbe villages. Cross a bridge and climb steeply for 35 minutes to Chele. Overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 09: Trek to Syangmochen (3,650m, 6 hours)
Trek 6 hours to Syangmochen, crossing Taklam La (3,240m), Yemdo Pass (4,000m), Baga La, and Dzong La (3,550m). Pass Yemdo, Samar, and Bhona villages. Overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 10: Trek to Ghami (3,510m, 5 hours)
Trek 5 hours to Ghami, passing mud-and-stone houses typical of Mustang’s arid landscape. Explore the village’s traditional architecture. Overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 11: Trek to Dhakmar (3,820m, 4-5 hours)

Day 12: Trek to Tsarang (Charang, 3,620m, 5 hours)

Day 13: Trek to Lo Manthang (3,840m, 4-5 hours)

Day 14: Rest Day in Lo Manthang (3,840m)

Day 15: Trek to Ghami (3,510m, 5-6 hours)

Day 19: Trek to Thorung Phedi (4,450m) via Thorung La Pass (5,416m, 8 hours)

Day 20: Trek to Manang (3,550m, 5-6 hours)

Day 21: Trek to Khangsar Village (3,740m, 4-5 hours)

Spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November) offer stable weather and clear views. Mustang’s rain-shadow location makes it viable during monsoon (June-August), but passes may be challenging.
An Upper Mustang Restricted Area Permit ($500 for 10 days, $50/day extra), Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (NRs 3,000), and TIMS permit are required, arranged by Best Trips Nepal. A minimum of two trekkers and a licensed guide are mandatory.
