Ghorepani Poon Hill Sunrise Trek is one of the most popular in the Annapurna region. This trek provides stunning views of the Himalayas, including Machhapuchhre, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and others. Starting from Nayapul or Birethanti, trekkers pass through lush forests and vibrant villages, such as Tikhedhunga, Ulleri, and Ghorepani. The trek culminates in an unforgettable sunrise at Poon Hill, followed by a visit to Tadapani and Ghandruk. Along the way, trekkers experience the rich culture of the Gurung and Magar communities. The trek covers a distance of 40-45 kilometers (25-28 miles) from Nayapul to Poon Hill, with a total distance of about 200 kilometers (124 miles) from Kathmandu.
